We are so excited to start our first year of home-school.
I will be doing a loose Pre-school curriculum with my daughter this year since she is only 3 years old.
The main curriculum we will be using is A Year of Tales Pre-school
The curriculum revolves around the Beatrix Potter books.
It also goes over the ABC's, and different character traits such as kindness and gentleness.
I also love that she adds an optional weekly bible verse.
One of the main things I want to focus on is having fun while learning.
I want my children to have the freedom to create, explore, and learn new things.
Sometimes we as parents just need to be there to experience it with them.
A great part of A Year of Tales curriculum is the optional Tea Party every Friday.
I found a super cute tea set on amazon that I love.
You can use the opportunity to go over what you learned during the week.
It's about communicating with your child and engaging with them.
There are a lot of great reads on A Year of Tales book list.
Here are just a few of my favorites so far:
There are so many more great books to add to your collection, but those were just a few.
I love finding new activities to involve my youngest as well.
Shane is only one, but he loves being involved and learning with his sister.
Whatever you do for your pre-k curriculum this year, just remember to have fun, and enjoy this experience with your children.
If you have any great ideas, or just want to share what you are doing this year.
Feel free to share it with me on my social media!
